An average-rate illustration, not an exact utility bill.
Tariff slabs and peak/off-peak pricing can materially change savings.
Non-energy charges remain; no battery benefit, subsidy, export cash
payout, financing or maintenance cost is included.
Official guidance, calculation method & limitations
Bangladesh guidance:
AC output may be up to 100% of sanctioned load.
Typical yield is 1,200–1,400 kWh/kWp/year and roof allowance
7–10 m²/kWp. Utility approval and SREDA-listed equipment
are required for net metering.
Net billing uses imports minus exports and carried credits.
Non-energy charges still apply. Credits settle over July–June;
residual credit uses the relevant 33 kV bulk tariff.
Peak/off-peak customers offset off-peak imports first.
This simplified tool does not reproduce that billing ledger
or calculate settlement revenue.
Our model:
average energy rate = monthly energy charge ÷ monthly units.
Target DC size = monthly units × 12 × target share ÷ 1,300.
Screening size is the smallest of target size, usable roof
÷ 10 m², and sanctioned load × 1.2.
AC = DC ÷ 1.2. One square foot = 0.09290304 m².
Generation range = DC size × 1,200–1,400.
Net-metering mode assumes generation can offset consumption
within the settlement year, capped at annual use.
Self-use mode values only the entered directly-used share,
also capped at annual use.
Annual gross savings = offset units × your average rate;
monthly figures = annual ÷ 12.
Results assume steady consumption and usable annual credits.
Weather, shading, outages, seasonality, changing tariffs and
actual load timing can reduce savings. Values are not a
guaranteed range or a final panel/inverter design.
Without export approval, use self-use mode.

contracts or confirm mandatory-installation compliance.
